MORE than 30 students attended a Stop the War meeting at South Bank University on March 2, a very impressive turnout considering it was called at a week's notice to allow a very busy speaker from the Campaign Against Sanctions and Military Intervention in Iran (CASMII).
Dr Abbas Edalat has just returned from Iran and he discussed some of the similarities between the build up to the Iraq war and what the US is now attempting to do about Iran.
The Iraq war was preceded by accusations that Saddam was buying uranium from Niger to build nuclear weapons. Iran is now being accused of developing nuclear weapons.
