Former nuclear technician Mordechai Vanunu, serving an 18 year prison sentence in Israel on charges resulting from his disclosure to the Sunday Times, is due for parole. But the Campaign To Free Vanunu fears that the Israeli special security department is pressing for him to be made to serve his full sentence.
According to recent Israeli newspaper reports, even on his release - due in April 2004 - Vanunu will not be allowed to leave Israel as he wishes, and could be rearrested and brought to trial once more if he talks to the media again.
