and postive tour by Hugo Blanco marks the way forward meetings in Birmingham, London, Paris, Vienna, Barcelona, Madrid, Bristol, Cardiff, Brighton, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cambridge, Nottingham, Manchester, Oxford and Weston super Mare and inspired audiences with his vision and stamina. The tour was organised by Socialist Resistance and Green Left in the most extensive collaboration so far between the two groups. Individual meetings had additional or different sponsors including the Scottish Socialist Party, the Cardiff campaign against Climate Change, Cambridge Socialists, Izquierda Anticapitalista in the Spanish State and the Greens and the Noveau Parti Anticapitaliste in France as well as a host of Latin American groups. Hugo was able to address several thousand people during the trip and was also able to attend the International Ecosocialist International meeting in Paris. Hugo's tour de force was at a lecture at London's School of African and Oriental Studies where he addressed an audience of more than 150 overwhelmingly young people and spoke for almost two hours when you add together his initial contribution with his answers to questions. In a presentation that spent the first twenty minutes on the question of global Hugo came to Europe as the editor of Lucha Indigena (www.luchaindigena.com) with the aim of raising money to strengthen to work of that magazine. Socialist Resistance is calling on all ecosocialists who are able to, to make ongoing contributions to that publication. Socialist Resistance will continue its relationship with Hugo Blanco and are confident that our comrades in Green Left will work with us to build on the work we have commenced through this initiative.
