The UKIP surge is changing politics in Britain. Miliband’s response is to drag Labour further to the right with more ‘tightening’ of immigration. With bad news of war and growth stalling, stock markets tumble. Resistance to austerity is essential. But we also need a new united left political party that gives hope of a radical alternative, one which makes the bankers and bosses pay for the crisis that they are responsible for.
Left Unity is a precious start.
