New guidance on asylum seeker pupils' removal
Kent County Council has directed head teachers not to allow immigration
officials to remove children of failed asylum seekers from their schools,
following an incident when immigration officials asked social services to
take a child out of school.

Zahid Mubarek was murdered by a racist at Feltham Young Offenders Institute in March 2000. The Inquiry is expected to last for at least twelve weeks, ending in February 2005. It will hear evidence from a range of witnesses including Zahid's family, prison officers, managers and experts.
