This is scanned newsprint, not web text. The original PDFs carried no text layer at all, so every word here was read off the page by OCR. Expect dropped opening letters, run-together words and wrong characters. There was no contents page to cut the paper up by, so the articles were found from the size of their headlines: a headline may carry its kicker, and where an article ran beside a boxed panel a few lines of the neighbour can appear. The scanned issue is the authority; this text is here so the words can be found at all.

Zionist troops out of Gaza! Stop the slaughter! socialist www.socialistresistance.net EVERY TIME American troops bombard the cities they are supposed to be "liberating" in Iraq, Ariel Sharon gains more confidence in his obliteration of the Palestinian people through his latest onslaught in the Gaza strip. 101 Palestinans have died in this latest incursion as we go to press ... with no end in sight.

The Zionist state bulldozes whole communities, kills children and prevents ambulances carrying the sick crossing checkpoints on almost a daily basis.

The "wall" prevents people accessing their lands in order to eke out a meagre existence, their water is diverted to make Zionists settlements green and pleasant places.

Every day United Nations resolutions are blatantly breached by the Israeli state, but no one takes them to task.

Bush's position was made clear when Sharon's chief of staff, Dov Weisglass told the press at the beginning of October: "Effectively this whole package called the Palestinian state has been removed from our agenda ... all with a Presidential blessing and the ratification of both houses of Congress".

But European governments also have the blood of the Palestinian people on their hands.

What do they have to say about these crimes against humanity, perpetrated now for almost half a century?

Their silence, or their mealy mouthed criticisms give confidence to Sharon and his henchmen.

They are the terrorists!
